How do I contract your investigation services?
After an initial contact by phone, fax or email, the client and an agency’s consultant can discuss a confidential contract. The sensitive information about the subject, pictures, addresses, vehicles, hours, etc., will need to be exchanged at this time. At the request or needs of a client the contract and the sensitive information can be sent via fax, email or a scheduled meeting with a licensed consultant.
How much does it cost to hire a Private investigator?
Surveillance is billed on an hourly basis plus a mileage charge. Rates are dependent on where the surveillance will take place. As a general rule, in remote areas, the rates are a bit higher. Before the case is started, a strategy is established depending on the circumstances and your needs. Once this plan is in place a budget can be established. We will never go over the surveillance time allotted according to your budget without obtaining your permission beforehand. Investigative services are payable in advance of the work being conducted. Payment can be made by credit card, PayPal, cash, check or money order.
Is hiring a Private Investigator legal?
Yes, we have access to tens of thousands of records be they financial, property records, criminal records and more. All resources we access are completely legal.
Will my information be kept confidential?
In every case we undertake we will only give out information about you if we have a duty to do so by law. Otherwise you can be assured than any information you give us will be kept completely confidential.
We will not keep your information for any longer than is necessary and will take steps to ensure that it is kept up to date. You have a right under the Data Protection Act 1998 to ask what information we hold about you. Your confidentiality is guaranteed to be our highest priority.
How quickly can you start an investigation?
Usually 24-hour notice is plenty of time. It is often possible to start a case immediately. We first need to gather all of the facts and complete necessary forms in order to begin the investigation. Weekends are usually the busiest times and may require additional advance notice.
How long does an investigation take?
This really does depend on the service required. We always give a rough estimate of the timings involved during our initial consultation.
What information is required to start a surveillance assignment?
Please provide us with a physical description as well as any photos of the suspect. We will also need addresses, vehicle information, time and place to start, plus the reason for surveillance. Our trained licensed investigators will obtain courtroom quality video evidence of all pertinent activities and back it up with experience and credibility.
Is your firm up to date with security devices?
Yes, we use the latest state-of-the-art technology devices to assist in solving our client’s cases as quickly and accurately as possible. We use the most advanced GPS Tracking devices and video cameras.
What do I do once surveillance is set up?
Once the surveillance plan is in place it is important that you do not do anything to alert the suspect of the investigation. Do not change your habits and do not ask too many questions about their activities.
Will the suspect find out that they are being watched?
Our surveillance investigations are 100% confidential. We do everything necessary to insure the covert nature of the investigation. If we ever perceive that the security of the investigation is threatened, we back off and re-evaluate with your input. One important point: Never threaten to hire an investigator. This will make the suspect even more difficult to watch. If you have done this, be sure to tell us ahead of time so we can prepare.
What evidence will I receive at the conclusion of an investigation where the Private Investigator has performed a surveillance operation?
Evidence collected during a surveillance operation consists of, but is not limited to, videotaped activities and a detailed, written surveillance report which describes, in great detail, everything observed by the Private Investigator during the surveillance operation. Both are submitted to you, along with any and all other evidence collected by the Private Investigator during the surveillance operation. However, upon request, we will archive the evidence collected by the Private Investigator during the surveillance operation at our secured location and maintain them for you, making them available to you at your discretion. Video evidence collected by the Private Investigator During the surveillance operation is normally delivered to clients via DVD. However, additional forms of media are available upon request (such as, via usb flash drive in the file format most convenient to you).
What types of cases does a Private Investigator investigate?
Private Investigators perform an extremely wide range of investigative services. Often times, people mistakenly think a Private Investigator is simply used to “catch a cheating spouse”. However, investigations involving adultury or a “cheating spouse” represent a very small percentage of a Private Investigator’s cases.
